Fan Mister

Summer in all parts of the world, except in the Polar Regions, is getting hotter and hotter. The general consensus in the scientific world is that the world-wide average temperature is 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the 1800s, much of the surge happened during recent decades. Why is a fan mister more effective than a traditional mechanical fan?

The traditional mechanical fan works by just simply blowing air towards you. When it is hot, your body makes adjustments and release sweat to maintain your internal temperature. When the air that is propelled by the mechanical fan touches your skin, sweat evaporates from it and your body will stop producing it at a fast rate. This makes you feel cooler.

These fine water droplets will evaporate fast upon making contact with the air. When this happens, the coolness of the water droplets is transferred to the surrounding air. And when the cooled air touches your skin, sweat evaporates from it quickly. The quicker it evaporates, the cooler you feel.

Types of fan misters
There are two kinds of fan misters: indoor and outdoor. Indoor fan misters are typically built to operate inside your house while outdoor fan misters can be brought anywhere.

Although you can get a much cooler air with an air-conditioning system, a fan mister system can also provides desirable levels of coolness and a number of advantages.

First, fan mister maintenance is very easy. A homeowner who has some background in electronics can perform maintenance and repair tasks concerning the two basic parts of the fan mister: the fan motor and the water pump. Also, most fan mister manufacturers include easy-to-follow service and repairing manuals with the unit—so you can perform maintenance/repair tasks with your fan mister even if you don’t have a solid background in electronics.

Second, installing an air-conditioning system is a hassle. You need measure the area you want to cool, calculate the size of the air-conditioner you need, determine where you need to install it, etc. Installing a fan mister is arguably easier.

Third, a fan mister is less expensive to run compared to an air-conditioner. It is estimated that a fan mister consumes about ¼ of the power that an air-conditioner eats up.
